The next stop in our homecoming was Opa and Oma's house.
Slightly less than a year since our last visit, Opa and Oma had moved to a new house. This one is smaller, more manageable, better now that the 'kids' are out of the house. We loved the new house. It's really kind of cute. Just take a look at the front:
It's pretty, isn't it? Especially with all the orchids and poinsettia on the front porch. Another feature that Kecil loved includes the metal spiralling staircase at the back:
Well... had she needed to climb the said staircase up and down a few times a day carrying loads of wet laundry to hang, she might just develop Mama's dislike to the feature. As it was, Kecil had never encountered such staircase so far, so... it was still a novelty. Not to mention that she has yet required to do her own laundry. Hmm....
But the best feature of the new house was found outside:
Right accross the house, there was an empty plot of land bordering on a small stream. Well.. the stream is a bit far down, so it was not really accessible, but you can still hear it. As for the land... well... you can do pretty much about anything on it, no?
See there? Oma was coaching Kecil to play with the kids from the nearby village who usually used the land for their football game.
Here's another view of the 'field' from inside the house fence. Which brought about yet another 'cool' thing about the new house: the sliding fence. Always the curious adventurer, Kecil also enjoyed learning how to operate the gate.
You see what I mean?
Well... so much about the house, next post will be on the VIPs, Opa and Oma themselves. See you then!
