Has it really been 100 posts? After oh so long (this is the 4th calendar year, according to the archives)...
And in the mean time, THAT baby, has grown into THIS kiddo:
Who can already run, jump, talk, spout arguments, say Please, make logical demands...
This Mama is still learning, is still exploring.
Thank you for coming along. I hope you do enjoy the ride, together with the Little One.
Do expect more 'memory lane' kind of posts as we look back into the in between that happens between the two photos above.
In the spirit of properly acknowledging contribution, this Mama will start from this post onward to attribute images not taken by the official photographer. The first image was by Eyang Kakung, I believe. Mama back then was still resting from uhmm... all the efforts of bringing Kecil into the world.

more hair...
My 'knotty' little Girl
You see, the reason why Mama managed to make those two very cute little knots is also the reason why Mama's hand is getting more and more itchy each day.
Her hair is getting too long!
It gets to the eyes, it covers the face while swimming. Ugh!
Until the itch became unbearable, and snip snip went the scissors.
It's not much, just enough so she has shorter bangs that no longer covers her eyes and her face, beautiful that they are.
And no picture. One hand wielding the scissor, the other the comb, alternating between the tasks while also keeping Kecil in place... no more hand (or energy) to take pictures. Oh, but you can see what we did once we were done cutting:
Asymmetrical pigtails with Hello Kitty ornaments
Victim of Mama's itchy hands
Well... her teacher noticed it almost immediately. I guess I was not the only one who got itchy hand with her long bangs. Hahahaha.....

field trip: wrapping it up
Last post on the field trip, I promise! This is IT!
So we got the final report from school today, in the form of official letter, saying that the field trip was a huge success. Well... I don't think we really needed that letter to confirm what we already knew, do we? Kecil enjoyed herself, immensely. Dot. Finish. Success. No?
And indeed, what not to enjoy? With the swimming, the pizza making, the beach, the playgrounds...
So to wrap it all up, here are the rest of the photographs. We do hope you had enjoyed tagging along on our field trip to the beach.
At the activity room:
At the beach playground:
And lastly, at the big swimming pool, while we were waiting for our ride:
There! That's it, folks! So.. until the next time we get to yet another beautiful beach resort, it's regular programming with mostly daily activities, walks, and such. Enjoy!

it's growing!
Still remember our 'wall-art'? I am so delighted to be able to report that it has grown.
In fact, it is still growing. Here it is as of Sunday:
So... Kecil had so far learned the alphabet B, and numbers from 1 to 4 (Can you spot them all?)
Now that I am a parent, I think I can say that I love school. Hahaha! I do hope that Kecil does as well.
Oh, and by the way, even as I am writing this, the picture up there was already out of date, as we had received two more pieces today. So now Kecil is up to 5!
Not so sure if she got the idea behind the numbers, but she sure recognize (and saying them out loud!) the vegetables/fruits being used to illustrate the idea. Especially the latest (absent) ones: 4 bananas and 5 apples. Hahaha!

Sunday... again...
Maybe this Mama should really write about Monday on Mondays, you know, but with Mondays such as today... I think you already have you own Monday without hearing me moan about yet another Monday. So... it's Sundays on Mondays, yeah?
... was yet another day spent fiddling with the new camera, playing hard with the Little One and the odd task or two that never gets done during the weekdays.
We manage to get quite a few nice pics, which we will share through the week, most definitely.
In the mean time, here's hoping for a good week ahead, no matter how the weekend went.
Have a good one!

Intermediate walkies...
For some strange reasons, despite preferring at any other point to be pushed on her bike, Kecil has this peculiar fondness of this particular slope.
The slope being what it is, however, there is no way I can push her in her bike up.
And so, Mama had made it a condition for going on the slope, that Kecil should climb on her own.
It is not obvious in the picture, but the slope is actually quite rocky (which means lots of foothold), and can feel pretty uphill as well.
Oh, but Kecil manages very well in general.
Oh yeah, we've been there a lot many times, indeed.
And what do you know? There are actually some good out of all those slope-climbing.
The last time we had a longer walk with Daddy and the Dog to the waterfalls, she walked 70% of the way, asking only to be carried when she's absolutely over her limit or when the track proves way beyond her ability to maneuver (steep, downward, rocky tracks).
Oh, she's definitely on her way to become her own hiker one day!
The Dog is definitely there too. The second picture from the last, she's there.
In the last picture? She is the reason why Kecil was excitedly pointing to one side of the picture.
And Mama? Well... someone had to operate the camera now, ya?

field trip: the afternoon
Ugh ogh, this is dragging slightly too long. The field trip was already a week ago, for goodness sake! But Mama just have two more posts, including this one. Then we can go back to regular daily activities, all right?
So, it was afternoon on field trip day, after lunch, more free time and one arts & craft activity, (not to mention an episode of crankiness followed by a bottle of milk) it was time for another activity. Yey! Any guess from the Sighted picture above?
All the cameras ready for action, the kids sitting down... hmm....
Wow, it's Pizza-making time!
In the spirit of cooking, each kid was issued a chef's hat. Umm... they are regular adult size. So, yeah... a bit of a problem there.
Like that, yeah, precisely. But I think the seat being a beanbag might have something to do with that as well. Anyway, they all look adorable in the hats, don't you think?
To say that the kids are a bit confused is maybe an understatement, especially about the toddlers, like a certain Little One we all know very well. Still, others are already dreaming about the wonderful creation they are going to make.
To the amusement of another:
Well... anyway... the pizzas finally got made, and Kecil did enjoy it very much. Isn't that what counts at the end? Maybe with this practice, she can help Mama next time. Hahaha...

Minnie & Bunny
Do you still remember Bunny? You can go here for the Bunny story. But just in case you are feeling lazy, here's a pic:
And as for Minnie? It wasn't that long ago that we acquired Minnie, right?
The point is that these two are Kecil's best (inanimate) friends. Just take a look at what greets me as I stepped out the house the other day:
But that day was fine, because I think we were just playing outside.
Yet another day, when we were going for our daily walk...
(Do I really have to add that it happen to be a day when Mama decided that she's too lazy to lug around the big camera?Ahem)
Ugh oh... Yup. The whole gang, with the two littlest strapped on the bike.
Not simply sitting, mind you, strapped.
Now obviously Kecil has done some 'training' that she can indeed complete our normal rounds. There are times, however, when she simply prefers to be pushed around by Mama.
That day, with the two other Littles?
Well... they managed, somehow.
As to where we went... just scroll on, and you can come along as well!
Frolicking at the playground with the two additional Littles? Sure, why not.
Especially when she obviously enjoyed herself oh so very much.
With the last additional thing to do, just because she can do it:

field trip: the beach
The Life Guard's post
And indeed there was, a beautiful, pristine white, sandy beach, with mild waves and warm water right underneath the vivid blue sky.
It just happen that beaches are not quite in the top ten of Kecil's favorite things.
And she would rather stay on this side of the barrier, thank you very much.
THIS side of the barrier
As to why she does not have a great love for the beach? Well... maybe thanks to her mountain-dweller of a mother, who is still learning to love swimming in the sea water?
Or would it just be the sand that goes everywhere, especially in the shoe department?
Eek, sandy shoes, Mama!
In any case, we decided to move away from the beach, and walking back to the resort compound, we were greeted with a sight of this lovely rock of a bowl:
Huge flower in a rock bowl filled up with water, accessorized with a wooden/coconut scoop
Staring in incomprehension
So we walked around the compound. Here's one of the many dining areas available:
Outdoor dining tables
Ahem, please note that they are NOT rubbish bin, but rather a storage solution for your (normally gigantic) beach bags and what nots.
So, you can appreciate the brilliance of the idea? Me thought so.
Scattered around the area are also these bird-house-like structures, which I dub 'water-house' since it is indeed their function: to provide drinking water for the thirsty guests.
Kecil was sooo intriqued by the house, she nagged me to no end just to get her water from the water-house countless times. Seriously.

It was all and all a beautiful place. We are really glad we went for the trip
This Mama does realize that this post does not really have a lot of frontal pics of the Little One. Well... one needs some change, right? Let's just take it as the Little One's view, shall we? Mama will try to include more pics of her highness next time.
